Join us on the second ICTUSnet workshop!

ICTUSnet is pleased to invite you to the second thematic workshop on the current and future challenges of endovascular stroke treatment, which will take place on the 5th of September in Nice (France), following the work done under WP5 “Knowledge exchange, collaboration and mutual learning”. The objective is to discuss innovative remedies to tackle some of the upcoming challenges for endovascular stroke treatment with all the health professionals involved in the sector. The workshop will include brief presentations on three different topics by some of the ICTUSnet partners and invited experts, followed up by open discussion within the participants on the specific topic. The agenda will be as follows:

Pre-hospital care: triage of patients, rooting patterns, scoring systems

Keynote Speaker: Dr Caroline Arquizan (stroke neurologist) and Dr Vincent Costalat (interventional neuroradiologist) from CHU Montpellier; and Dr Ana Aires from Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João (Portugal)

In-hospital care: direct to angiosuite, neuroimaging

Keynote Speaker: Dr Jean-Marc Olivot from CHU Toulouse, and Dr Marc Ribó (neurointerventionist) from Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (Barcelona)

Territorial coverage to achieve equity: role of different hospital categories

Keynote Speaker: Dr Denis Sablot (stroke neurologist) from CH Perpignan, and Dr Ana Aires from Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João (Portugal).

In its second edition, the workshop will coincide with the congress of the European Society for Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT), an interdisciplinary society addressed to medical practitioners and scientists working in the field of neuroradiology, neurointerventional surgery, endovascular neurosurgery, and vascular neurology.
